Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how UKPlayHubGames uses them, and what choices you have regarding their use. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides broader context on how we handle information on the Platform. By accepting cookies when prompted, you consent to our use of them as described in this Policy.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how their site is being used. Cookies are set either by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services operating on that website ("third-party cookies"). Cookies can be "session cookies," which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent cookies," which remain on your device until they expire or are manually deleted.

It is worth noting that cookies are distinct from browser localStorage โ€” a separate browser feature that UKPlayHubGames also uses. We explain the distinction in the section below.

Types of Cookies We Use

UKPlayHubGames uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking cookies. The cookies we use fall into the following categories:

  • Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, certain core features โ€” such as remembering that you have passed the age verification screen โ€” would not work. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
    • ukphg_age_verified โ€” Stores a flag indicating you have confirmed you are 18+. Persistent; expires after 30 days.
  • Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember choices you make to personalise your experience. They are not strictly necessary but significantly improve the usability of the Platform.
    • ukphg_cookie_consent โ€” Stores your cookie consent preference (accepted or declined). Persistent; expires after 365 days.
    • ukphg_theme โ€” Remembers your display theme preference if a theme toggle is available. Persistent; expires after 365 days.
  • Analytics Cookies
Where analytics tools are in use, anonymised analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform โ€” for example, which pages are most visited and how long sessions typically last. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. Analytics cookies are only set if you have accepted cookies via our consent banner.
    • If we introduce third-party analytics (such as a self-hosted analytics tool), details will be added here. Currently, no third-party analytics cookies are deployed.

Local Storage

UKPlayHubGames makes significant use of your browser's localStorage mechanism, which is separate from cookies. While cookies are small text files traditionally used for session management and tracking, localStorage is a larger, browser-side storage area that allows web applications to save data directly to your device.

We use localStorage โ€” not cookies โ€” to store all game-related data, including:

  • Your virtual Coin balance between sessions.
  • Your in-game statistics and history (e.g. hands played, spins completed).
  • Your selected game settings and personal preferences within the games.

Because localStorage data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server, it does not fall within the scope of standard cookie regulations. However, we disclose its use here in the interest of full transparency. You can clear your localStorage data at any time through your browser settings, but be aware that doing so will permanently erase your game progress and Coin balance, which cannot be recovered.

Managing Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies on UKPlayHubGames and more broadly:

  • Via our consent banner: When you first visit the Platform, you are presented with a cookie consent banner. Selecting "Decline" will prevent non-essential cookies from being set. You can update your preference at any time by clearing the ukphg_cookie_consent cookie from your browser and reloading the page.
  • Via your browser settings: All major browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies stored on your device. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions:
    • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
    • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
    • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
    • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
  • Note on essential cookies: Disabling essential cookies (such as ukphg_age_verified) may mean you are asked to verify your age on every visit, as the Platform will be unable to remember your confirmation.

Third-Party Cookies

UKPlayHubGames does not currently embed third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling tools that would set their own cookies on your device. The Platform links to external websites โ€” including responsible gaming resources โ€” but these links open in a new tab, and any cookies set by those external sites are governed entirely by their own privacy and cookie policies. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, cookies set by third-party websites you navigate to via links on our Platform.

Should we integrate any third-party services in the future that set cookies, we will update this Policy and our consent banner accordingly before doing so.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes to how we use cookies โ€” for example, introducing new cookie categories โ€” we will reset the consent banner so that you are informed and can make a fresh choice. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies. If you have questions about our use of cookies, please visit the Help Centre.
