We set out to create a place where adults across the UK could enjoy the excitement of casino-style games in a safe, free, and genuinely social environment.
UKPlayHubGames was founded in 2022 by a small team of game developers and community managers based in London. The founders shared a common frustration: the existing landscape of online casino-style games required players to risk real money even when they simply wanted to enjoy the experience of the game itself. They believed entertainment and excitement should never come with a financial cost.
The idea was straightforward โ build a platform that replicates the thrill of classic casino games using entirely virtual currencies, wrap it in a strong community layer, and make the whole thing free for any adult who wants to play. What started as a side project developed in a Shoreditch co-working space quickly grew into a fully-fledged platform after a successful beta launch drew over 3,000 registered players in its first month.
By early 2023, UKPlayHubGames had expanded its game catalogue from three titles to over fifteen, introduced weekly community tournaments, and launched a leaderboard system that gave players genuine social recognition without any financial stakes. The team grew from five to eighteen people, bringing in specialists in UX design, responsible gaming advocacy, and data security.
Today, UKPlayHubGames serves more than 42,000 active players across the United Kingdom. Our average player spends around 25 minutes per session enjoying our games โ purely for the fun of it. We are proud that our platform is entirely free-to-play: we have never charged a player for coins, and we never will.
Our mission is to provide the most entertaining, responsible, and community-focused social gaming experience available to adults in the UK. We achieve this by keeping gameplay fun and stakes-free, by investing in robust responsible gaming tools, and by fostering a community culture built on respect, fairness, and genuine enjoyment. Every decision we make โ from game design to community moderation โ is guided by that mission.
Three principles guide everything we build and every decision we make at UKPlayHubGames.
We constantly explore new game formats, community features, and platform technologies to keep the experience fresh and engaging. Our development team ships updates every two weeks, driven by player feedback and our own passion for great game design. We are always looking for the next idea that makes UKPlayHubGames more fun.
We take our duty of care seriously. Our platform includes session time reminders, balance transparency tools, and easy access to support resources for anyone who feels their gaming is becoming unhealthy. Our responsible gaming page and links to organisations like GambleAware are available from every page on our platform.
Social gaming is only as good as the people playing it. We invest heavily in community features โ tournaments, leaderboards, a social hub โ and in the moderation team that keeps interactions friendly and respectful. Our community guidelines exist to protect every player and ensure everyone feels welcome, whoever they are.
The people behind UKPlayHubGames are passionate about games, community, and doing things the right way.
